Overtime: The Work of Living - 6th Annual Experimental Exhibition

I’m pleased to share that my work, Work of Renewal, will be included in the 6th Annual Experimental Exhibition, Overtime: The Work of Living, presented by genARTS Silicon Valley in partnership with Works/San José.

The exhibition invites artists to think beyond convention and explore the many meanings of the work of living through painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, and mixed media.

My piece, Work of Renewal, embodies time, patience, and persistence through the slow, deliberate processes of stitching and crocheting. This quiet, often unseen labor reflects care, restoration, and resilience beyond productivity. Branches, leaves, and grass evoke renewal, while fire represents both disruption and regeneration. Joined through crocheted connections, the elements suggest that healing and transformation emerge through resilience and our connections with one another.
