My art utilizes marks to guide viewers into and out of the painting, inviting exploration of hidden and revealed layers. This interplay between concealment and revelation enhances the visual experience, fostering dialogue with the viewer. Through this approach, I aim to create art that captivates aesthetically and prompts thoughtful exploration of space, form, and meaning.
Memory of Water
The "Memory of Water" series serves as a means to capture memories from various visits to bodies of water. Each painting represents a place from my memory rather than a real location. I am drawn to the reflection of the sun on the water's surface, the soothing sound of the waves, and the sensation of sand against my bare legs.
About my technique:

The texture and colors in my paintings evoke feelings of balance, tranquility, and harmony, defining my work with their rich textures and simple color schemes. As an abstract mixed media artist, I use everyday materials like paper, cardboard, and Spackle. One of my favorite techniques involves mixing water with glue and pigments, adding spontaneity and motion to the canvas while enhancing the texture. I continue layering until the painting is visually pleasing to me, acknowledging that true interpretation lies in the eyes of the individual viewer.
