Finding Balance
I began with a grid and navigated my way in and out of it, experimenting with vibrant shapes in various hues while striving for harmony and equilibrium. The edges, I discovered, mirrored my emotions during lockdown days—empty streets juxtaposed with heightened stress levels. Despite this, I sought solace in cheerful, colorful designs. In these paintings, tension and happiness coexist, reflecting the complex interplay of emotions.
About My Technique
My process involves layering, scraping, and scratching the surface, leaving traces of earlier information through a buildup and overlap of successive stages. I often employ unorthodox tools and materials sourced from the kitchen, hardware store, and recycle bin for my mark making.
