Marvels can be made from refuse, and art can mend the heart.
My piece, Nightfall, captures a desert road trip through layered textures of sand beneath a still, haunting landscape. I added black paint to evoke the descent of night and creeping fear. Scratches and rusty wire,reminiscent of barbed wire, introduce a tension between protection and vulnerability. This interplay of concealment and revelation explores themes of fear, borders, and resilience, with moments of hope breaking through the fractures.
