I am honored to have my work Liberty Illuminated included in Freedom and Consent: After 250 Years of Declaring Equality, Freedom, and Liberty, an exhibition at ACCI Gallery in Berkeley, California.
In 2026, as the United States celebrates the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, this exhibition invites artists to contemplate what these treasured words: equality, freedom, liberty,
mean today. Works reflect upon the past, envision the future, and speak to our present experiences as artists in America.
My collage Liberty Illuminated, reflects on the meaning of freedom in America. It juxtaposes the iconic Statue of Liberty with the menorah, a symbol from my Jewish heritage, layered over dictionary pages defining hope, strength, and freedom.
