My art utilizes marks to guide viewers into and out of the painting, inviting exploration of hidden and revealed layers. This interplay between concealment and revelation enhances the visual experience, fostering dialogue with the viewer. Through this approach, I aim to create art that captivates aesthetically and prompts thoughtful exploration of space, form, and meaning.
Functional Art
It took me one polymer-clay workshop and I became addicted to working with this versatile material. With simple home tools, I create wonderful, colorful home decor pieces of art. I like to transform ordinary plain items to extraordinarily unique and one of a kind.
​Sculptures; Stems & Petals; Mugs & Vases. covering up bottles, used home-ware items or metal forms with my polymer clay canes. The results are usable and colorful items for the home, office and everyday use. A focal point of color splash. All vases can hold water and so can be used for flowers. No paints or dyes were used. The items are cured in the oven to ensure optimum strength and color, sanded smooth, and finished with several coats of color enhancing protective polish.
